TENT FACTS:

Cleaning

There are several methods to clean your tents. The most common is to spread out your tent and use a mop, brush, soft buffer or pressure washer.

You can use commercial tent cleaner solutions, soap and water or just plain water to clean the tent. A light mild vinyl cleaner can also be used. Please do not use acid based solutions such as household bleach or cleaners containing bleach.

Another method is using a large tent commercial washer. Our tents are fully compatible with this kind of commercial washer. Please follow the washer manufacturer guidelines for optimal results.

Warning:

Vinyl tent fabric is a type of plastic surface that can scrape and tear with rough surfaces such as concrete, rocks, asphalt and other hard surfaces. When spreading out the tent, please make sure you use a drop cloth or tarp to protect the tent fabric.

The exterior of your tent has been treated with a lacquer coating to protect it from sun exposure. The inside of the tent does not have coating and needs to be handled with caution.

Please make sure your tent is completely dry – especially at the webbings, buckles and grommets. Dry thoroughly to prevent mildew and staining when folded and stored.

Never use bleach, bleach containing products or other harsh cleaners on the tent fabric.

Fire Certification:

All tent tops are certified California Fire Retardant and have certification logo attached to tent interior. Additionally, we can provide a hard copy of the certification upon request.

Handling and Storing:

All tent fabric should be carefully rolled and kept in a dry place. Do not allow your rolled tent to be exposed to water – it will cause mildew and staining. Avoid dragging the tent top, as this can tear pin holes into the fabric. Do not use sharp tools when opening bags or packing materials. All tent materials and sewing specifications are tested and exceed a tensile strength of 200 pounds per square inch (PSI). This applies to all tent top materials, including rope lace-lines, webbing ropes and other components of the tent.
